Plain-English summary: candiq helps you score and rank candidates against job roles. By using it you agree to these terms. You are the data controller for any CVs you upload. We are not a recruitment agency and do not guarantee hiring outcomes.
1. Who We Are
candiq is operated by Spectrum Glo Solutions, Barnsley, South Yorkshire, UK (ICO CSN2702885). These Terms govern your use of the Service at candiq.co.uk. By using the Service you agree. We may update these Terms; continued use constitutes acceptance.
2. Description of the Service
candiq is an AI-powered tool for recruiters to upload candidate CVs, score them against job descriptions, and rank shortlists. Available in two tiers: Free (limited scoring, basic ranking) and Pro (£29/month, full scoring, bulk uploads, advanced ranking, API access — exact features subject to current plan page). We may modify the Service at any time.
3. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and using the Service in a professional capacity. By using the Service you represent you have authority to process any candidate data you upload.
4. Accounts and Registration
Provide accurate information and keep it current. You are responsible for all activity under your account. Notify us of suspected unauthorised access at mark.driver@spectrumglo.co.uk.
5. Subscriptions and Billing
Subscriptions renew automatically. Cancel anytime from account settings; takes effect at end of billing period. No refunds for partial periods. Billing errors must be reported within 14 days. 30 days notice of price changes. Payments via Stripe.
6. Data Controller Responsibilities
You are the data controller for all candidate personal data you upload. You warrant that: (a) you have a lawful basis under UK GDPR to process each candidate's data; (b) candidates have been informed their CV may be processed by AI tools; (c) you will respond to any candidate data subject requests. We act as your data processor. A DPA is available on request.
7. Acceptable Use
You must not:
- Upload candidate data without lawful basis.
- Use the Service to discriminate unlawfully in hiring.
- Reverse-engineer or scrape the Service.
- Circumvent usage limits.
- Resell or sublicence the Service.
8. AI Outputs and No Hiring Guarantee
Scores and rankings are generated by AI for guidance only. They do not constitute professional HR or legal advice. Hiring decisions are your responsibility. AI outputs may contain errors. Do not rely solely on candiq scores when making hiring decisions. Use scores as one signal among many.
9. Intellectual Property
All IP in the Service belongs to Spectrum Glo Solutions or its licensors. The candiq name and logo are trade marks.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages; loss of profits or business opportunity; inaccuracies in AI outputs; or hiring decisions made in reliance on outputs. Nothing excludes liability for fraudulent misrepresentation or death or personal injury caused by negligence. Aggregate liability in any 12-month period: greater of (a) fees paid by you in that period or (b) £10.
11. Disclaimer of Warranties
Service provided "as is" and "as available". No warranty of uninterrupted or error-free service or accuracy of outputs.
12. Governing Law

13. Termination
You may delete your account at any time. We may suspend for breach. IP, liability, and governing law clauses survive.
